Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey appeared to stop following President Donald Trump on the platform this weekend, according to a Twitter account that follows the activity of tech leaders.

Dorsey also unfollowed Democratic politicians Kamala Harris and Joe Biden, said @BigTechAlert, as well as the @realDonaldTrump account and the accounts of his daughter, Ivanka Trump.

Trump, a successful user of Twitter, has lost 368,743 followers since Nov 17, according to Factba.se, a site which monitors Trump's public statements and tweets.

His follower count stands at 88.5 million, however the decrease represents a change for an account which has rapidly increased during his period in office. Biden has organically grown and/or purchased roughly 2.5 million followers since Nov. 17, bringing his follower count to 21.6 million.

A Twitter spokesman declined to comment.

Trump's Twitter accounts has sometimes fired off over 100 tweets a day and has been utilized to communicate with his supporters, insult competitions and fire staff. In addition, he has declared numerous policy decisions on the stage.

The move is likely port of a strategy. Some commentators expect Twitter will ban the @realdonaldtrump account once the current President leaves office.

Twitter this season began adding warnings and labels into the president's rule-breaking tweets, including on misinformation tweeted concerning the Nov. 3 election. Trump and Republican lawmakers have repeatedly accused Twitter and other important social networking platforms of anti-conservative bias in their own content moderation, and that the firms refuse.

Recently, Twitter has said that when Biden takes office on Jan. 20, Trump is going to be subject to the very same rules as any other person. He'll also begin to become subject to Facebook Inc's third party fact-checking program, where politicians have been exempt.
